How can I volunteer at Hasty FD?
– Easy! Just come to the station anytime between the hours of 9:00AM and 5:00PM and grab an application.
Is there a minimum age requirement?
– Yes, the minimum age is 18. But, ask about our junior program for people under the age of 18.
What is a junior program?
– Our junior program consist of firefighters under the age of 18. In this program we provide training and mentoring to future firefighters.
When does Hasty meet for training and business meetings?
– Firefighters meet every first and third Monday starting at 7:00PM.
Where do I get a burn permit?
– You can come up to Hasty Fire Dept between 9:00AM and 5:00PM daily or go online to NC Forest Service.
Will the Fire Dept. show up even if I have a burn permit?
-Yes, If someone calls 911 or Hasty FD we will have to respond.
